PRODUCTS WARRANTY
Our experience, research and product testing allow us to guarantee our doors are free of any manufacturing defect for one full year following delivery date.
ii. We will replace all doors deemed defective, before or after its installation. However, all installation and finishing costs will be at the clients’s expense. iii. Our warrranty does not cover any defects caused by a faulty installation, abuse and/or transport by others. b. THE STRUCTURE
ii. All six sides (6) of the doors must be adequately treated with an appropriate resin or oil-based product within (7) seven days of receipt. iii. Whatever treatment applied to wooden panel doors (paint, stain or varnish) it is imperative that you disengage all panel’s junction using a sharp blade after treatment. This will allow for the normal retraction or expansion of the wooden parts and prevent structural damage to the door. This will also prevent the wood from splitting and the protective coating from cracking. iv. A one quarter inch ( ¼ in) or less of warping, as well as a variance in height or width of less than 1/16 inch are not considered manufacturing defects. v. We will replace all doors deemed defective before or after its installation. However, all installation and finishing costs will be at the client’s expense. vi. An additional cut at the top and/or bottom of the door exceeding ¾ inch, performed by Rageot inc. as per customer’s request or performed by the customer himself, affect in our opinion the structure of the door and thus eliminates the guarantee offered. vii. Winter conditions. Doors will freeze at temperature below 0°C. We recommend storing the doors in an area where the ambient temperature is between 18°C and 22°C prior to any application of any sort of product or finish. However, it is impossible for us to determine the length of time necessary for the doors to thaw out. We recommend that you do a test-patch to verify how the protective coating or finish will react on the doors. Rageot inc. exonerates itself of all liability in this matter.
ii. Please take note that we cannot guarantee colour uniformity on all the different components making up the same door, please inform your customer accordingly when confirming it’s order. This is a natural occurence and therefore is beyond our control. For this reason, we cannot accept a merchandise return request based on the wood colour scheme. Please also take into consideration that birch is a type of wood having at once, a large variety of colours ranging from white to pink to dark beige. iii. Sanded finish. All doors are sanded with a grade 180 grit. Doors are delivered with a cross-grained sanded finish. For best results, prior to staining or varnishing, the customer should hand-sand the door to eliminate any sanding lines. For more details see appendix “Options”.
ii) Take note, this standard of quality for glass and stained glass is inspired directly by the norms of quality generally recognized in the industry. iii) Please take note that certain materials can from their nature, to seem to have defects which are not. Variances in colour hues and motifs may be a natural occurence as well as colour difference in mirror backing on the same door. These are not considered defects.
